when do you bleed the clutch?

Thumbs down when do you bleed the clutch?

ok, i have been reading some topics and i see alot of people bleeding their clutch. what is it? when do you do it? i have 37k on my 03. am i in need of bleeding the clutch???

"Bleeding" the clutch is changing the fluid in the hydraulic system and getting rid of any air that may have infiltrated. Clutch fluid is the same as brake fluid and thus, sucks up water by just being there. This should be done every couple of years. More often if the car is tracked.
