The best comprehensive study on the S2000 suspension IMHO.

oh, just a quick offtopic question..
I've found a rather well priced S from 2004.
Looks well looked after. But the front bumper looks slightly out of alignment with the left fender..
I'm wondering if it's something that can easily happen. or if it's probably result of an accident.

the pre-purchase paranoia begins O.o

Check for a matching VIN sticker on the suspect fender.

yup! there is a tab on the top of the bumper close to the middle that will have a VIN sticker on it, just pop the hood and you will see it

no worries my friend, here are some solutions I went with to correct the "bump steer" or excessive toe in on bumpy high speed corners.

1.

http://www.hopupracing.com/merahos2reto.html]anti-bumpsteer[/URL]

2. if you really plan on driving the car to its potential, take the time to really learn this cars behavior, it is unique and it really is a drivers car

on that link there are a few other parts, A-arms, strut braces and other suspension stiffening components that really tighten up the car. but unless your tracking the car you will find the OEM car well put together

cheers

hmmm... I thought the only major change in the AP1 rear suspension was a modification to help prevent bump steer? the 2000-01 was spin happy correct? then in 02 they modified something to help reduce it... maybe im wrong...
