When clearing headlight corners, washer came loose
I replaced my amber turn signal diffusers with clear ones. While I was removing the left headlight housing from my car, a washer fell from somewhere around the headlight mounting location. I tried to determine where this goes when I removed the right headlight housing but had no luck. Does anyone know where this goes? I don't want to re-install my headlights until I figure out where the washer belongs.
The picture here shows the washer and its approximate size. It is about 1 3/4" in diameter and has one flat side.
Thanks.

Yup, and it's probably a shim. I had an issue after my accident that required replacing the left light and light bracket where the headlight didn't line up with the fender, there was some spacing issues. You can see it in the driver's side light in these pics:
It was easier to see in person. When I next removed the headlight (due to some unforseen issue with a bulb falling into the fixture ) I shimmed the rear mount location of the headlight with a similar looking washer. Worked wonders and now the headlights line up to the body better than ever.

Thanks for the replies. I have had this car since it was new. The only body work I had done was about a month ago when I had a body shop refinish the scratches under the front lip. They removed the bumper and painted the entire bumper. Maybe they felt the shim was needed for proper alignment of the bumper. I'll ask them and see if they remember doing this.

That washer is not a Honda item (i.e. it is ther are no "D" washers on the 2001 Bill of Material for areas disturbed during a Rick's lens install.
My guess is it is a shim installed during your bumper work which was disturbed when removing the bumper to replace the clear lens.
