"Wheelhop" while accelerating?
The best way to describe the symptom I am experiencing is what feels like slight wheel hop when Im on the gas pedal, usually moreso 5k and above. speed doesnt matter. Are there any known issues that cause this?
I checked tire pressure, and there are no nails or anything, and they were balanced about 10k miles ago

Wheelhop as in: revs increase momentarily but speed doesn't?
If so, it could be the clutch.
Or do you really feel in in your seat, coming from the rear?
What wheels / tires do you have?
Is the car lowered?
Any suspension work done lately?

thanks for the reply
i feel it in my seat, and the door handle vibrates a little bit. I have stock OEM AP1 rims with fuzion ZRi tires all around, stock suspension.
Another thing is, on the highway, i can go 90mph and not feel the vibration, its only when accelerating. I am going to look under the car in a minute to see if i can visually spot anything wrong. keep the suggestions coming, thanks

Im not a very big fan of fuzion tires, but heres something to try drop the air pressure and see if the wheel hop gets better.
Also mounts (engine, tranny or diff) can cause wheel hop, just do a visual check.

Unless the tires are breaking traction, it is not wheel hop.
Do a third gear roll on on a dry surface. If the vibration is there, it is likely the inner CV drive buckets.

Thanks billman, just did it, and it was still there and the traction wasnt broken, so i assume its the inner cv drive buckets?
If thats the case, would the best way to fix it? buy new ones?
also, should i stop driving it? or will it be okay for a little while?

You can remove the axles, and swap the buckets from side to side.

Just as Billman said, if the tires are not breaking traction, it's not wheelhop.

Inner CV joint housing might be damaged.
