Default Wheel Stud Replacement Cost FYI

Hey guys. Ive seen some discussion on changing out wheel studs and I wanted to share my findings as I have two that were stripped by A STUPID BODYSHOP.
1.You cannot replace the studs without a press.
2.You cannot replace the studs without removing the knuckle
3.You should replace the wheel bearings and spindle nut when pressing out hub
4.You should use pickle forks to remove the knuckle
5.Replacement bearings can cost anywhere from 44 to 174 dollars depending on brand and shop. A good bearing(1) would cost 80-90 at a discount shop.
6.I was quoted 444 for the replacement of two studs(One side, non-stealership). Parts were 165 total.

Hope this helps anyone wondering about changing studs or getting normal spacers installed.

You should NOT use a pickle fork unless you just really want to destroy a ball joint boot.

Yup you need a ball joint removal tool. There is a honda specific one also available but not worth all the extra money in my opinion.

If it was stripped by a stupid bodyshop then the cost to you is 0.

I've had similar experiences in the past and it's never cost me a dime. Good luck

I had one replaced by the dealer - cost was $90, including parts.

A hub at Honda cost about 50 bucks and a bearing from them is around the same i believe. A machine shop should only charge about 60 bucks for the pair to press them in. 444 sounds a bit steep to me. I had it happen to me and i put in Skunk2 extended wheel studs.

why not just run bolt on spacers?
they make 15mm+ bolts ons.

unless you want to run <15mm?
