I would try removing the lug nuts first Sorry, had to.

No but really, leave the car on the ground and loosen the lugs more than just breaking them loose and the wheel should break itself loose and then jack it up and remove the wheels.

BTW, Have you had a chance to ship the hondata gasket to me yet?

its not the lug nuts
the wheel is stuck onto the rotor
because of the powdercoating...

Are you saying that the powdercoating was also on the inner surface that contacts the hub surface and around the hole? If so, you should clean off that area before putting the wheel back on (sandpaper or steel wool). Was this on all 4 wheels? Or just on the front? Could you perhaps have a rear wheel accidentally mounted on the front?

Yeah, that's what I thought you meant. I should have provided a better explanation I guess. When the lug nuts are tightened they will "center" the wheel on the hub. If you loosen the lugs with the weight of the car on them still it will allow the wheel to "uncenter" itself and in the process break the corosion or whatever it may be that's making your wheel stick to the face plate of the rotor.

Smack (not too hard) the inside botton of the wheel with a rubber mallet. My wheel rusts to my hub sometimes and this is all I've gotta do to get it off. You said you tried already, but where were you hitting it?

And oh yeah, like xviper said it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to strip the surface to bare metal like it is intended to be. Also it's never a bad idea to take a wire brush to the mounting surface on the rotor as well whenever you remove your wheels.

I don't suggest doing this often, but you can try to loosen the nuts just a bit, drive for a hundred feet or so, and then try to take it off, the driving will probably 'shake off' the wheel. Like I said, don't try this often, and make sure you end up in your garage/driveway before the wheel comes off

I imagine just loosening the bolts and driving forwards/backwards for a few yards would be enough to knock the wheel off the hub...
