Which wheel bearings (Timken, SKF)?

Jack the car up, and see if there is any play in the wheel.

Talk about jacking the thread.. lol

If you didn't have the vibrations prior to your wheel bearing change, check that your mechanic re-installed the driveshafts properly toe their proper torques. Otherwise, I'd say you have a case of pitted CV cups on your hands (well, car actually).
