Sorry to start another thread about something that has been answered thousands of times before, but I had no luck with the search function. I need to replace my rear right wheel bearing. Im wondering if I need to replace the hub or can I just have a machine shop press in a new bearing and be done with it. Is there anything else I need to do in this repair. Other things to replace or just the wheel bearing.
Thanks In Advance!

i purchased a new hub also, just to be on the safe side. and if i were you, i'd get some of those screws that hold the disk to the caliper, just in case you strip them out and have to drill em'.

You will need a new axle nut, cotter pin and wheel bearing. There are some nut clips that should also be replaced. That's about it. Unless you mess up the ball joint when you take it apart. Then you will need to replace the hub. I'm doing this from memory, but I think I got it all.

It's always safer to replace the hub but, it's not necessary as long as you caught the wheel bearings early. If you've been driving awhile on bad wheel bearings I'd replace the hubs. It's an interference fit and it has to be tight or it'll just destroy the wheel bearings again.
Real heavy track usage can lead to broken hubs too so, if you track the car, that's another consideration.

I'm not sure why you are replacing wheel bearing but I had to replace my hub.
I had a strage noise from passenger side rear wheel. and we found out that noise came from hub playing inside of the bearing. hub had about .1mm worn out where it touched the bearing. so inspect it carefully and see if it's worn out.
