What's wrong with my car?
So I just bought an S2000 after a year-long search.
It broke down half-way home, which was a bummer.
When I say 'broke down', I really mean I was being a pig and decided to stop at McDonald's first.
Car refused to start inside the parking lot.
Had RACV have a look at it - it wouldn't turn over, just kept giving me a click when I pushed the button.
Ended up getting a bump start.
Was told it was probably a problem with the starter motor.
Car refused to budge over the next 2 days.
Eventually got a mechanic around the corner to come check it out and the moment he jumped into the seat, the car roared to life.
Had him take it to the shop anyway just to find the problem but after a day they tell me they can't find any fault.
Anyone else have this happen to them or does my car just hate me?

Any way to tell what's wrong with the car?
Mechanics said they couldn't fault the car...
I was stranded once outside a McDonald's (not a bad place to be stranded though) and I really don't want the next time to happen in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere...

"Car refused to budge"???? Do you have two separate problems or are you just using different words to say the starter isn't engaging?
Assuming you only have one problem, I suggest you start by cleaning your battery terminals with a wire brush and clean the starter terminals. They're a bitch to get to, but that's a lot simpler than pulling the starter out.

Yes, sorry, it is one problem.
Car won't start up unless I get a bump start.
Thought it might be the immobilizer, but everything was fine.
And I am clutching in all the way because I didn't just start driving yesterday ~_^

It may be the clutch interlock switch. (No matter how long you've been driving. 
)
1. There's a pad or grommet where the clutch pedal meets the interlock switch and (I think) if it's gone it leaves a hole and the interlock button my go thru the hole and not depress or not depress far enough.. Maybe look there first.
if the grommet is there:
2. Remove the connector from the switch (as my friend David says a small child probably needs to help get under the dashboard).
Jumper the two contacts in the connector-- you're bypassing the switch. Usually a piece of bent wire works.
Try the start button.
