While extra bracing down low is cool, I worry a bit about what would happen to a strut bar in a front end collision at high speed? - if it were to shear off and be propelled through the windshield, might be very unpleasant. Bling-bling could become whang-bang.

Okay, I'll be serious with this post (the humor of the first one seems to have been lost): a strut tower brace on our car will do nothing more than impress people who either (i) don't know any better or (ii) like the flashiness of the accessory regardless of whether it offers any functional benefit. I doubt that the bar would cause an increased risk of injury in the event of an accident because the entire front of the car is designed to crumple, and I'd imagine that the bar would simply shift backwards, along with everything else in the engine bay, rather than shear. just my two cents...
