ay i know im new to this w/ s2000 , i have an AP1 ....but i know to use full synthetic ....but does anyone know whats the best one out there ? i've been hearing amsoil is the best? and 10w 30? any suggestion on oil brands, the number, and oil filter? greatly appreciated..

I used Mobil 1 for years and liked it. I heard they were going away from full synthetic so i switched to redline.

Redline uses Base V stock and has lots of detergents and cleaners. I have been happy so far.

I use the reusable TruFilter and that is nice to see what is in your oil and it is good for the environment as I am not throwing away filters every change.

You certainly cannot go wrong with Amsoil.

I went from Mobile 1 to Amsoil.Dont feel any different but I was told it is better quality.

Try and read around on the Forums. People are going to have different opinions.

Read the Oil Journals.

But it's kinda like asking.....which is the best brand gas to put in the car....
