Default What is your oil change interval?

If you don't change your oil filter every time, please explain what you do as a post.

Thanks!

Right now it is between 3,000 and 4,000 miles between changes. I always replace the filter and use a Honda OEM.

Sometimes I will replace a filter in less than 3,000 miles if I have another driving school coming up. I look at filters as cheap security and I frankly don't mind wasting a little money on over maintaining an engine.

My car has less than 12,000 miles on it. I suspect sometime in the fall I may switch over to synthetic, for mow I'm still using conventional oil.

I voted 3750 but I actually change every 5000 km (3000 miles), Mobil 1 syn - 5W30 (winter), 10W30 (non-winter), change filter every time (Purolator).
Like Triple-H ............. Will 5 bucks for a filter each time kill ya for a bit of insurance?

What purolator do you use? PureOne?

I use PureOne PL24458 in my beater because it has an awesome ADB valve and is bigger than what's recommended for an 88 Accord, and the same wrench fits the end.

Is this the same PureOne # used on the S2000?

I chose 2,500 but usually 3,000. Castrol GTX dinosour bones til 10k, then it'll be readline or mobil1, maybe alternating. I'm going with K&N oil filter next time. Purolator, Mobil1, K&N seem to be the better ones, according to all the research I've been able to cull. I plan to get an oil catch can as well.

I change every 4000 miles with amsoil 0-30 synthetic. Always change with honda filter. I try and stay factory as much as possible.

5,000 miles (8,000 KM) w/ Mobil 1 5w30 for winter, probably go to 10w30 for summer. My next change should be around mid-end of March anyway.

Yeah, I guess everyone voted for after break-in

Sorry I didn't put a choice for 3000 miles / 5000 km. I guess you'll pick which is closer.

I'm surprised I don't see more 7,500's for synthetic.
