some of the AP2 exhaust systems have a differently shaped chamber on it, some of them are almost rectangular.

That's why I kept mine in place when I built my custom exhaust with muffler delete. I'm willing to bet money that mine sounds better WITH it than ANY aftermarket fart can that replaces it. I've heard all the expensive exhaust combinations for the S, header back and cat back, and only 2 that I've heard so far sound decent, both costing close to 2K. To me, all the rest sound like shit. None of them give a fair horsepower gain for the money, especially pre-06'. Build a custom mandrel-bent exhaust with proper tips and the stock resonator and you won't be disappointed with the bad-ass note the F20 delivers, at all RPM. I get tons of compliments from people about how un-"Hondalike" mine sounds, considering it has none of the ricey rasp you get with 99% of aftermarket junk.
