What are these loose wires?

What are these loose wires?
OK. So I know the engine starts, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what these loose wires are. They are circled in the second picture.
Also, do you see any other problems with this engine bay? Is anything missing?

Can you tell what kind of intake that is? Maybe I can find information about disconnecting wires being necessary? Is there ever a case where wires would just be tossed aside like that?
My concern is that this is a salvage car with seats and dash missing. I'm a little worried the thieves popped the hood and took something else, but I'm not sure what. I'm told it starts.
Thanks

I found it in a picture of a stock car:
Anyone know what that eventually goes to?
Yea, I'm trying to calculate the risk. If I do buy it, it will be for very cheap, and I'll have a blast trying to figure out how I can make it work. My concern is that if things keep breaking, and I keep fixing, it will add up to a lot very quickly.

hey man I'm more than likely gonna be buying an s2k as a parts car within 2 weeks. I wont need the dash off of it so i could possibly sell it to you.
Here in washington if you buy a salvage car that has no dash you have to run the car through state patrol to have it inspected and with peices like a dash you have to have paper work. Mine is legit, it will have the vin on it and I can write you a bill of sale with a copy of the title.. Shoot me a Pm if you're interested
how much are you getting that s2k for?

Thanks Guys
I'll find out tomorrow. People here are recommending I don't spend over 3k.
And yes, my state works the same way so if I get the car I may be interested. Is your parts car AP1?

yes AP1. Do you have listing to where the car is at? So its simply theft? I wouldnt be too concerned if thats the case. i've bought some pretty tore up theft recoverys but its a simle bolt on process.
I bought a theft 00 s2k last month for 4k and I didnt realize alot of the harness' were cut thats why I'm buying this parts car. I hope to in the end get all the shit I need for my car and either make all my money back on the parts car or even profit a little.

Apparently yes, it's just theft. I'll be taking a look, and possibly purchasing tomorrow. I'm not sure about my wiring harnesses, I'm hoping they were nice thieves and didn't cut the harnesses, but I doubt it. Do you need the dash harnesses for your car?
It seems to me that these cars get salvaged mostly because of the super expensive seats. I really don't mind running a set of aftermarkets, so I should be able to get it running for pretty cheap.
The only other expense left should be the top, which after 6 years probably needed to be replaced anyway.
