What to replace the pitted cv-joints for track usage.
Hi all,
I looking for some advise on getting new Axles, i currently have the famous pitted cv-joints issue on hard acceleration, so what are my best option to replace axles, rebuild the axles? Note i want to start tracking the S this year so i looking if i should buy some after market axels or should i stay with stock for now.

Thanks man, at the great north rebuild are $140, which make better sense to get them rebuild since i don't have 450hp.
I don't know about the frozen north, but here in the good ole usa my local auto parts store keeps fresh rebuilt units for 69$. They handle my 450hp just fine and have lifetime warranties. Couple that with about 20 minutes to swap them out and I'd say there's absolutely no reason to go any other way. If you've got mega power then yes, you need an upgrade.

Most axles that rebuilders have are complete garbage. Do NOT buy them, you will be sorry. Most importantly, dont give up your high quality stock axles for that junk.
Swap your buckets side to side, and go racing.

Of course they are $69 bucks. They give you junk and take your gold. I'd be a rich man if I sold axles, but I couldnt sleep at night
I can produce plenty of pics and proof about auto-parts house axles if you need.

You dont need clips, bands, boots, or any parts at all. The band clamps easily release with pliers in 2 seconds, and go back on just as fast. They can and should be re-uesd.
