What oil do you guys recommend for my 2003 S2000, I would like to run around a 5k oil interval. She has 14500 miles now, and I plan on doing a change at 15000. What is a good quality synthetic oil that will protect my engine?

I just put royal purple 5w30 in my car. It costs about $7 a quart. Runs fine. Maybe it was a little over the top... gave me peace of mind though. Use the OEM oil filter Like $15 at the dealership. I hear mobil1, and amsoil are both good. Cheaper stuff? Castrol has always been good in my civic....? I don't really think it matters as long as you change your oil on a regular basis... There are a ton of threads on the subject though look it up.

The owners manual says 10w-30, do you think 5w-30 is too thin or its really not that big of a difference?
