These are the fluids I have tried in the past and present.
1st gen Honda MTF,
GMSMFM,
Amsoil MTF,
2nd gen Honda MTF,
and now I am using Redline MT-90
My overall impression is that GM and Amsoil fluid smooth out the tranny for the first 3000 and then the tranny became very notchy.
1st gen Honda MTF did not do a thing for the car. I had the notchiness from day 1.
2nd gen Honda MTF is the newer and improved version. It smooth out the shift but there were still notchiness sometime going into gear.
Right now I'm using Redline MT-90. I just put this in just 2 days ago so I gon't have much to say. But I am having a hard time going into 1st gear in the morning and when it is cold outside. After the tranny has warmed up, the tranny feels smoother. So I recommend those that live in hot climate to try this one out.
But among all of them, I like the new Honda MTF the best. I hope this helps.
