Valvoline MAXLIFE Synthetic 10-30W every 4-5K (it's for new cars too).
Honda MTF for transmission (every 15K).
LE 607 for gearbox (every 30K).

Does anyone know where to find something in writing from Honda saying that they don't recommend switching to synthetic motor oil before 10K? I've seen several references to this on this website. My owners manual says it's OK to use synthetic oil or dyno, but additives are not recommended.

i recommend LE 8130 or redline 10w30. le is petroleum and redline is synthetic..
for the tranny i'd use redline mt-90 and for diff use LE 607 with almasol
Mike: The LE 8130 is a synblend, with mid-continent paraffin mineral oil and PAO.

3k, Mobil 1, pcx filter. 27k miles and it doesn't use any oil, so I'll stick to this plan.
BTW....Target has Mobil1 for 3.99/qt.

Every 3rd or 4th track day for the engine with Redline
Every 7th or 8th trackday for the diff with Redline Shockproof
Every 7th or 8th track day for the tranny with Redline MT-90
Oil changes are done with Honda's S2000 specific filter
