It's not even made by Spoon.
Debate on whether or not grounding kits and voltage stabilizers have any affect on a car's performance aside.... that is a conterfiet.
Notice that the "Spoon" grounding kit looks the same as the "HKS", "RALLIART", etc???
In a recent article about counterfeit items in Modified Magazine, Spoon is down as having stated that they estimate they may loose as much as 50% of potential customers to uninformed buyers buying knock offs. I'm sure the number also includes those that want Spoon parts but either cannot afford them or want to pose, but still that is a staggering estimate.
Oh well.
The technical problem with grounding kits and voltage stabilizers is that it is impossible to prove if they work. It is totally possible that they net you a couple of horsepower, unfortunately just a few horsepower is difficult to measure as it is within the margin of error (or the effect of environmental variables) of whatever dyno you're using. So it could be a couple hp gain, or it could just be margin of error.

My question wasn't about the Spoon part of the item, I was wondering about the item itself. To be honest, I didn't even realize it said Spoon on it. That's a good thing not to notice, right? Hehe.

Honestly, in modern cars I don't see the point in these things. Modern vehicles electrial systems don't need this type of stuff. On an 82 olds it might do something, but I can't see it having a noticeable effect on the s2k. My mechanic laughs when he see's someone with this crap installed.

Waste of $$$ is a good description.
Keep your factory grounds clean and corrosion-free and you'll be fine.

The only way a grounding kit improves performace is IF the existing grounds are bad/insufficient. It's not a performance increase at that point, but restoring proper operation.
The 2-3 "dyno-proven HP" are well within dyno error, and not enough to compensate for the extra weight of all the added wiring.
It does provide a wonderful "placebo effect" performance gain.
