Drum brake shoe retaining spring. A small top hat with a slot goes on top of it. Not from the S.

You prolly used the old springs, as I don't think the brakes will work correctly if missing.

You would likely already know if you did not use the retaining springs at all and would have likely known it during install as stuff would have not been cooperating with you Likely you just used the old ones as mentioned and those are the new ones from the kit.
