Any brand that costs the least and never less than 91 octane.

No, not any brand. Stay away from the no-names, or even the more popular "cheaper gas" like Racetrac. They get their octane from additives, not from quality gasoline.

I prefer Exxon/Mobil.

Gas is not all the same.

Given the rise in prices...nearly 2.30/gallon, would you guys ever consider alternating some mid-greade fuel.

some have gotten away with doing this, but i wouldn't risk the chance of detonation and pinging. i know the ECU can retard the timing if lower lower octane gas is used, but i just wouldn't be comfortable. i only do the best for my cars, and i will stick with 93 octane.

btw i recommend chevron or sunoco.

i just could never justify paying so much for a car and then not feeding it good gas and oil. it just seems to me that later in its life, i'll be regretting the costs of trying to save a few bucks today.

i don't know. i guess i sorta equate it to a trip to wal-mart and saying hmmmm ... do i wanna get the generic condoms and would i like to go with the named ones that i know have a rep for no breakage? it just seems like such an obvious choice to me.

I think Shell is better than Arco.

Oh c'mon Steve. By dropping from premium to mid-grade, you save all of what, $2?

good point....
I just finished driving 1300miles home, with 4.77s and was beat down by how much I was paying for gas. At some sh*thole towns I was paying 2.35/gallon
