What to do with used oils
I am at 33k miles now. The car is certified, but I am not certain they replaced the transmission and rear differential fluids, and I would rather be safe than sorry so I would like to do it myself.
Can I recycle the old oil at the same Jiffy Lube I take my motor oil?
Also, I plan on getting Mobil 1 75W-90 Gear Lube (1 US quart).
I wanted to use Mobil 1 synthetic for the transmission as well, but it seems thats not possible (they dont make the right weight).
I have been doing some reading, but I cannot find a difinitive solution for which RedLine transmission fluid to use... I would rather use a Synthetic than the Honda MTF... could someone give me a certain answer to that?
Thanks!

You can take the used oil to the same place and/or Kragen, Autozone, Pep Boys.....whichever. The only stipulation with them is that it is "oil". They don't ask which weight, and that is really the only difference. Heck most of the time they don't even ask what you have or how much your giving them (typically only Pep Boys asks for quantity).
Mobil1 75w90 is correct for the diff....1 quart.
Redline "MTL" for the tranny, or "MT-90" if you are in a warm climate.....2 quarts.
Happy DIYing,

I'm having a hard time w/ the redline MTL... the weather's been below freezing in chicago for about a week, and you need to be King Kong to shift into 2nd when the box is cold...
and yes, return your used oils to Autozone/Pepboys...

We have Waste Management for our trash collection and they take oil with the trash+recyclables and even provide jugs. Only thing I need to get rid of is a bucket of coolant...

Awesome, and I think the redline will work. Being in TX, 30 degrees is the rare exception.
Thanks guys!
Edit: Oh! I would like to do the coolant at some point too. Any idea where to take that?

Hints ...............................
After the engine starts, get the clutch out, tranny in neutral ASAP. This will spin the tranny around and put a little heat into it by the time you buckle up and let the idle stabilize.
Don't force the stick. Help it by nudging it firmly. No need to shift fast. Do it slow and easy. It'll soften up quick enough.
