i would recommend keeping your oil level between the min and max while the engine is hot.. usually good time to check is while you are pouring gas it is not recommended to go above the max on your dipstick.

iIf you overfill the crankcase with oil, it will allow the moving parts (crankshaft) to foam the oil up and create air bubbles. These air bubbles will reduce the amount of oil getting to friction parts and cause them to overheat and fail. basically almost the same as having low oil...

i usually just try to keep mine in between the lines right in the middle when hot, i know others like to have it closer to the H when hot as well, but i find when i put in my 5.1~ quarts i always end up in the middle checking oil when hot

What is considered an overfill in regards to engine oil?

1) Using more than the recommend amount specified in the user manual by Honda?

OR

2) The oil level reading ABOVE the H on the oil dipstick.

Currently, I am approx 1 millimeter above the
