Amsoil is a great oil for it's price. A while back when I was on the 350Z forum for being a potential buyer, I saw a post where someone had their oil tested and Motul was the least corrosive and had the best viscosity. There wasn't much different between Motul and Amsoil, but Motul is used in a lot of European race teams.
Personally I would just save some change and get Amsoil. But if you have the money for continuous use of Motul then go for it.

You could try reading the thread that's stickied at the top of this forum:
* Quick Fluid Reference Guide & Oil Journals *, Engine, Brake, Diff, Trans, Clutch
If you don't want to read that thread, then I'd say you should try using peanut oil. It makes your exhaust smell really good. You can buy some peanut oil, fry your Thanksgiving turkey in it, then just strain it and put it right into your engine. Voila!

i'd just say the cheaper the oil the sooner the changes. i do mobile1 and rotate it out every 3000 miles, if i did walmart cheapo supertech i'd rotate it out every 1500 miles, regular non-synthetic i'd do it every 2000 miles...

No, I heard Canola lubricates better and doesn't shear down as fast
