I had auto-crossed last year pretty seriously, so I wanted to make sure my valves were in proper adjustment, and have some fluids changed.
Here's what I did:
Valves Adjusted to .008 intake/.010exhaust if allowable, if not, then as close as possible.
Replaced tranny fluid with Honda MTF
Replaced Diff. Fluid
Adjust Clutch and replace Clutch hydraulic fluid
Oil change
State Inspection
Now, a friend of mine works at Honda, so I got a discount, but all done and said, out the pocket with tax was $201 dollars.
The valves weren't terribly out of spec, but the car does seem to run smoother now. And according to my friend, and the mechanic, the diff fluid was VERY-VERY dark and dirty.
.. now, DARK oil is fine as long as its viscous, but according the the mechanic it was darker (For the milage) than he was used to seeing.
Anyway, everything seems fine, and I have piece of mind...

Aye.. I can do the break fluid myself, not really worried about that one. I just don't like dealing with BIG piles of oil (or I'd do my own oil change-- but for $18 bucks through my friend, its hard to beat).
Either way... liek I said, NONE of it was probably 'necessary', but >I< feel better. I love having an S2K, its the FIRST car (out of about 15-20) where I actually get a smile every time I hop in it-- hell, I still look for excuses to drive it, and I've had 2 of them.. starting in 2000.
I will say, that it does seem to idle/run "smoother" after the valve adjustment, but that could be my wallet convincing my brain.. who knows.
