Weird sound coming from underneath the car
I'll be taking the car into honda tommorrow but I hear this clicking/squeaking sound from underneath the car when I step on the brake abrubtly and I begin to take off in first gear. I can reproduce the sound each and every time especially when braking kind of hard or coming to a stop. The sound was not there before and it seemed to get loud today(I can hear it in the cabin with the windows rolled up. I'm thinking all the autocross and drag passes have worn something down or fractured something along the drivetrain.
Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated.
Thank you
Henry

Although it "could" be your drivetrain, I doubt that it is. Had you said that it makes the noise only upon braking, I would point the finger at the brakes - maybe the pads, rotor or both, possibly the ABS cycling. But since you say it also makes a similar noise when you take off in 1st, this suggests to me that it might be suspension related. To be more precise, the suspension "loading" when braking and "unloading" when taking off. Let us know what the service guys say when you find out.
