Default weird cluch incident on my04

i had no problems with my clutch and i have only a little over 5,000 miles on it... i don't race or do anything like that , but drive more like an elderly driver. anyway the last few days , i came to an incident where i clutch in and put into gear and while still being completely on the cluch all the way to the floor, the car shook for a split second, like when its going to die out. it was really weird, but when my brother drives he has never experienced this ever, however this has only occured recently..... did i do something wrong? why is the car shaking like the clutch is out to much or something.... is this a sign of something? i am worried

It has nothing to do with your clutch (at least, not directly). What you experienced was suddenly pushing the clutch in, letting off the gas while your road speed was still significant and then coming to a stop. This momentarily fooled the ECU and it couldn't catch the idle quick enough and it almost stalled. In extreme cases, this is a common phenomenon where stopping at red lights or stop signs will case this ECU "brain fart", near-death experience. In these cases, too many contributing sensor signals are being sent to the ECU and it reacts too slowly. Usually, a repetition of the same condition over several driving cycles will help the ECU to self correct. Failing this, then the customary "MAP whack" and ECU reset will often fix the issue. Do not do this unless you are sure the ECU is unable to learn.

thanks xviper i didn't even realize what i was doing... i am such a newbie when it comes to sticks ...

oh by the way this is off topic but about the gm synchromesh friction modify, i use my car as a daily driver and don't track it or race it and was wondering your opinion on the theory that this fluid is used for tracked cars only..... what would you recommend as to which tranny fluid to use in my situaion.... the oem honda fluid or the gm?

thanks again..

If you haven't been having any problems with the tranny to date, then stick with the OEM MTF. Why mess with a good thing? If you've been having issues of some kind, then give it a try. Road Rage has given it his seal of approval. That's good enough for me. I don't think it's just for tracked cars.
