Is Weak Rear Defrost Normal?
Yesterday morning my windows were foggy, and I turned on the rear defrost. Within about a minute there was a clear stripe about 1" tall across the middle of the rear window, but nothing else appeared to be happening. After about 10 minutes (almost to work), the rest of the window was clear. Is this normal, or should I try to make a warranty claim? I've never owned a convertible before, but I've never seen a car deforst that unevenly either.
2005, Silverstone/black, totally stock.
Looks like defrosting is about the only thing this car doesn't do fast, ha.

sounds like a couple strips may be broken, it should have thin lines all across the window within 30 seconds of hitting the defrost. I would say full clear defrost in 5 minutes MAX on a super chilly morning

It does look like some of the metal lines are broken. I wonder what the previous owner could have done to cause that, or if it was just defective?
Does the window pop out or would I need a whole new top? This will be my first trip to the service department. Otherwise the car is perfect! Drives better with 20,000 miles than any new car I've driven.
Thanks for the info, guys.
