I'm going to be AUS doesn't want to remove the intake manifold

Fan polarity will also screw with things, seen it usually on cars that have been in front end collisions.

What radiator are you using atm? The OEM or the chinese one?
Does your radiator fan run when the temperature gets hot?
Try to get it to kick in earlier with your aem ems?

Where are you getting your coolant temperature reading from? Is this accurate? Have you got anything else to physically measure the coolant temp eg a long thermoter probe or a meat thermometer probe?

I made a post on the Aus section regarding drilling the hondata gasket for the OZ s2k. I assumed that you have done that since you are able to bleed the coolant.

Chinese at the moment but had the problem before I installed it.

Yes the radiator fan kicks in at 90C according to the AEM serial gauge.

I haven't drilled the Hondata gasket as I haven't had this problem before and it has been installed for over two years.

Drilled the Hondata IMG a few weeks back and did a preliminary bleed. Then got the flu. Car has been sitting up on jack stands for weeks.

Decided to drop it down today and take it for a drive. Behaved itself for a while then started to climb into the mid 90s as I was putting it away. I shut it off, popped the hood and cracked open the front bleed screw. It farted and spluttered out some air before settling into a steady stream. I then closed it.

Will see how it goes next time I drive it.

AUS,

If you want we can reconfigure your cooling system with an external header tank. This high mounted tank has bleed lines from the top of the radiator and the bleeder on the head, and drains back into the back of the water pump.

Imagine having the bleeder open all the time with the fluid recovered back into the cooling system.

This is a pretty common setup on lots of modern cars, and pretty much the norm on race cars. Setup right you can even finish a race on a leaking head gasket without too many problems.

If your problem is a residual air lock in the head on shutdown, then this setup will help.

Chris.

Might be an option.

Aus

We use this in the shop to fill the S. It quickly draws a powerful vacuum and the coolant is filled by being sucked into the motor.

Maybe you can find someone local with a tool like it?

That's a good healthy sign.
It takes a while to bleed all of the air out of the coolant system.

A mechanic friend mentioned that to me. I've been meaning to get the car to him and get him to fill the coolant properly.
