Default Water Leak

Water leak when it rains, only when the car is parked. the leak is coming from the drivers side where the convertible top and the roof meet in the corner. Is this a normal issue for the year 2000 or is it just because of wear and tear and the elements. wondering if i need to replace the seals on the top only or on the A pillar or both. any input would help. thanks guys

When was the last time you treated the seals with Shin-Etsu grease? I find the seals start to get a little hard and wind noise picks up (as well as water leaks) if they aren't done AT LEAST once per year.

Yes for an arm-and-a-leg!!

I would get it from HandA or HardTopGuy (both site sponsors). Ordering direct from the parts counter is a last alternative for me.

Here a link to HandA.....
HandA linkie

Scroll down close to the bottom, about $12 plus shipping. Might as well order some oil filters, etc while your there. Cuts on shipping cost.

hrm? 12 + shipping? at the dealer its like $15-17 tube. after shipping its about the same price, might as well get it at the honda dealer parts dept since you'll pay about the same and have it right then.

That's what I did. The wind noise was driving me crazy on a long trip. A tube of the stuff lasts a long time so the price difference wasn't a major concern compared to the results.

Finally got a set of front license plate hole plugs while I was there.
