Water filling up in trunk

Water filling up in trunk
I get water in my trunk! Up to 5" of water. It rises above the styrofoam tool holder. I poured water all around the top with no evidence of it getting into the trunk. Next was around the trunk lid with not noticeable water getting in. I also tried damming up water on the third brake light. I don't know where it is coming in! Last night it was outside and it rained heavily and there was lots of water in the trunk. I believe it comes in without driving the car. It gets into the trunk and it can not get out as the bottom of the trunk is sealed up well. My next step is to stuff the trunk with newspaper and see if I can find the path to the trunk. Any ideas would be appreciated. Dale Katzfey 937-667-1536

Common S2000 Problem
If you do a search, you should find several threads on this issue. The most common sources are the soft-top drains being clogged and a leak around the trunk vent. I had the problem and I sealed the vent and had the drains cleaned. I still got water in the trunk. It was fixed when I had the soft-top rain rails seated & sealed.
The fast & dirty fix is to drill some small holes in the bottom of the tool well to allow the water to drain and seal the well with water-proofing. I think there is a thread on that fix as well.

I had 3 sources of leaks but the mail culprit is the vent.
