O.K. here goes....
I bought a used 2001 (built in Oct 2000) with about 20k miles last month. Shortly after I picked it up, I started getting some decelleration noises in 2nd at around 2-3k rpm. 4k miles later (road trips ) the noise has grown to include all gears from 2-4k rpm during decelleration.
I know there was a TSB on the 2000 models for 2nd and 3rd gear noise, but this seems a little more involved. The TSB states that the noise is only audible in the cabin because the tranny is right in there with you, but mine is LOUD. People look at me from the side of the road (more than usual ) when I'm slowing at a light. I don't really drive it hard...yet.
Soooooo, any ideas here? Anybody know the best dealer in the VA Beach area for this kind of thing? I was taking it to Checkerd Flag for minor stuff, but they said I had one of the only S2ks they had seen. I don't want them to learn on my car.

The heat shields tend to be pretty noise on decelleration. I actually like the sound. Ferraris do the same thing.
