I've had this leak for weeks, it's very slight.

The general consensus is either buy a completely new VTEC solenoid or use Hondabond and hope it fixes it. You cannot buy the gasket separately.

Is the part number I referenced irrelevant here? Is it a different gasket in the same assembly?

Try vtec solenoid gasket from a 95 Accord ex. A honda mechanic told me that works.

if the above listed part doesn't work you might want to pull the old gasket and clean it up along with the mating surfaces, coat it with shin etsu grease and work it into the gasket prior to assembly. Torque the bolts down to spec. The grease may help the gasket plump a bit, if you have the grease sitting around from the roof seal application it is an easy and cheap attempt at a repair, not so much if you have to buy the grease specifically for this job though.

DO NOT use honda bond to make a new gasket...there has been speculation as to this method clogging up oil passages in the head and toasting the top end

the passage by the camwheel bolt is very tiny, and has sharp edges. A piece of silicone could surely get stuck in there and fry the top end.

I will pull the top of my VTEC solenoid on my 96 accord wagon and see if it can be made to fit.

it wont be for a week as I'm on the west coast.

No good on the accord gasket.

Ordered a Honda gasket that looks almost perfect for the S2000 top half gasket.

Will take a small shift of the shape, that's in.

Should be in tomorrow, will check fit and update.
