Hey guys, I have a question. Is there anywhere I can buy the gasket in the head of the VTEC solenoid? From the dealer parts diagram (http://www.hondapartsnow.com/diagram...ead-462467.png), it looks like it's not sold separately. I am not talking about the gasket on the side, which is no. 14 in the diagram. I am talking about the one which looks like a ring in between the head which is hold down by three bolts to the solenoid body. It's on the right of section 6-9 from the service manual. Thanks a lot.

Do you mind if I ask how you found the part number for this? Is there a different resource we use to find part numbers? I just always use the one I posted and this gasket is not listed separately.

Its from the Honda F20B motor.

Thanks bud. You are sure they are interchangeable,right? I did more research and found out that this gasket is not sold separately for our car but in other threads people are recommending using the gasket from prelude, which has the same part number as the one you gave me.

I am not certain as I have not had to replace the gasket in my S2000 however I am fairly confident it will work. The part should cost around $10 from a dealership. So trying that gasket first seems smarter than buying a new solenoid for ten times that.

36172-P08-015 doesn't work on my car. The shape is different. On my s2000, the bigger circle part is totally round. But 36172-P08-015 has sort weird shape and I tried my best but it doesn't fit.

I have developed a very small oil leak in this area and it appears the VTEC solenoid gasket is the most likely culprit. I guess that's the piece I need to replace? Is there a DIY? Seems simple, I would assume there's no risk of spilling oil all over the engine bay when changing this with its location being so high on the head, correct?
