Vtec not kicking in?

Default Vtec not kicking in?
Me and my girlfriend both have s2000's. Yesterday i drove her's for the first time in several months. After i drove it for a little while i was like well lets go through the rpms. got up to 7 and nothing ever happened. I slowed down and made sure i payed attention this time around 6-7k. Nothing happened. No vtec noise, no more power or anything. I know alot of people saying you cant hear vtec all the time cause its just a pin but in mine you can and hers you use to hear it. I have a non vtec del sol and thats what it seemed like just straight power all the way up the rpms.
Can i maybe reset the ecu by taking out the fuse or should i get someone to look at it? Its a 00 with 79000 miles bone stock. Any help would be greatful.

same thing happened to mine... now the engine is toast and the block isnt even reuseable

just had it changed about 2500 miles ago, but will check. Thanks

yeah its after driving it for about 20 mins so i know its not that.

Like i said this isnt my car! girlfriends car so dont know if it has or hasnt. I have not though.

Go check it for her and if it's below the marks on the dipstick (and I'm thinking it is), slap her around a bit.
