ever since the instalation of my aem v2 cold air at random times my vtec doesnt kick in until 7-8k. i hear the cams change but dont get that kick until random times and sometimes the crossover is really smooth and i never even feel a kick. i topped up my oil but that didnt change anything.

i have a v2 intake so anytime after 3k i can hear it. my oil is fine, and i unplugged my battery for 20 min. let it idle for 30 min, and drove 15 km. i read that will reset your ecu. it did fine tonight so im gonna chill until it does it again then ill take her to honda.

No. You didn't really reset the ECU. You need to:
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Pull 'backup' fuse inside the car.
3. Replace the 'backup' fuse after 10-15 seconds or more.
4. connect the batt.
5. Do the ECU 'idle learn' procedure.
