Han Solo had to thump his map sensor to get the VTEC solenoid in the Millenium Falcon to actuate so don't be surprised.

can someone explain to me what exactly vtec is and how it works? sorry if this is a stupid question, but idunno.

I think that xviper's suggestion of "thumping" the solenoid was a joke, but who knows.
