I think I have similiar problems as jbeni96
When I VTEC at gears 2 3 and 4 I can FEEl the vtec at about 6200rpms...
Whereas when i thrash it on gear 1... I only feel the VTEC (the PUSH) at about 8000rpms...
My car has about 30000kms and is due for a service this thursday... do u guys think the Honda ppl can do anything to help? Or would they just take my car out for a joyride.
Thanks to all you s2000 experts in advance!!

1st gear is going to accelerate you the fastest of all the gears. Most likely you are not going to feel the change over as much as you would the other gears. VTEC in 1st is very quick. It's happening, but the RPMS are jumping.

Remember that your throttle engagement is probably not as aggressive in 1st as your aware of it slamming the redline and having to shift to 2nd.
If you floor 1st gear, you will feel it but be ready to shift!
Once in 1st, you are probably slamming the throttle through the rest of the gears and hence feeling the 2nd cam.
