VTEC-i
Anyone hear of any plans by Honda to release a s2000 with
VTEC-i? Also does anyone know of an individual throttle body kit for the F20C?
Thanks

Haven't heard of anything, yet. Since the '02 is so similar to the '01, I would suspect any VTEC-i implementation to be with the next generation, if there is one.
You realize an individual TB kit would make an already-peaky F20 motor unbearably so for the street, right?

Our sources in Honda Japan (search for gregstevens' Japan trip reports) revealed no plans to upgrade the engine (or cease production of the car) in the next several years. They are basically in money-making mode now.
However, that doesn't mean Honda won't feel pressured to respond if another car presents serious competition...but such a response would probably warrant a more or less completely new car, e.g. an S2200.

Individual throttle bodies can by tuned using a variety of lengths of velocity stacks (the "trumpets" attached on the top of the throttle body themselves). A long velocity stack is better for low-middle rpm power, wherelse a short velocity stack is best for high rpm breathing. You usually end up having a compromise between the two on a street motor. On a purpose built racing engine you can tune the velocity stacks to the appropriate track layouts and required powerband elasticity. I believe BMW has experimented with a variable length velocity stack where the stacks were telescopic and adjusted via a computer and servo motor.
