Default vtec engagement and throttle angle?

i have noticed in the last week or so that occasionally my top end feels like i'm still running on the low cam profile. i haven't been able to narrow it down, but it seems to be related to when i go from narrow to full throttle relative to the

First, check your oil and top it off if necessary. Vtec will not work as well if you're low. Secondly, the problem could be the map sensor...try using the search function for more info on this.

I had the same problem that you describe and finally took it to my dealer. It turns out that I had a faulty vtec solenoid. Ever since I had it replaced the car will vtec at part and full throttle. Good luck.
