last time I checked my oil level was about a week ago. it only has 41XX miles on it... I had the oil change at 3000. I'll check my oil again, let you guys know whats up, thanks for the suggestion.. I thought that would be the problem too. thanks guy!

From 3000 to 4100 MILES, this engine can go through more than a quart of oil if a lot of VTECing was done. Hopefully, when you check the oil, you can even see it on the end of the dipstick. People MUST learn that this is NOT your average Honda. Checking the oil has to be a religion.

I checked my oil, its topped off, mine doesn't eat oil as I've seen other people posted. so... not sure whats going on with it... I tried it again just now.. it Vtec... but... when I tried vtecing from lower RPM in 2nd gear... (letting it climb) I didn't feel/hear the vtec (we all know when vtec starts.. when it starts.. it starts.. hehe) so kind of strange..

After the break in letting the car climb into vtec from low rpms in second gear the car would have a real viscious kick at 6rpms. Now at 8500miles doing the same thing the kick is somewhat not as pronounced but i believe it's just as fast if not faster than it was at break in. However in 1st gear letting the rpms climb to redline the surge upon entering vtec is very noticeable. I'm thinking that after a couple thousand miles the engine tends to smooth out alittle after breaking in all the pistons & seals & all that other good stuff. If your really worried take it to the dealer

One more thing, instead of letting the rpms climb into vtec in 2nd gear, next time your in your car roll out in 2nd gear & let the rpms climb to around 5500rpms hang tight there for about 2secs. or so & then give the car wide open throttle. If you don't notice or hear the transition into vtec then you might have a problem & i would def. suggest you take it to the dealer. Hope you get everything straightened out.

hey liquid, thanks for the suggestion! I'll try the one where I let it hang around for 5500RPMs first, hopefully my car is ok, ya, its very noticeable in first gear, but I remember 2nd gear used to be kind of like it too, just NOT as strong.. not I don't feel shit.. not sure if theres vtec like.. seprate for every gear.. thanks for the suggestion then!
