MXT_77,
i guess if your going to ask for help you should listen to the answers you get.... Sorry.

I did the search on the MAP WHACK but i was hopping there was a way to test the sensor. I don't want to change it think that I have fixed the problema and then get out to the track next spring and find out that I havn't

I'm going to run it on a dyno next week and see if I can recreate the issue and then try the map whack and see if that fixes it. thanks for the help

Temperature...must be within normal operating range.

Throttle Position...must be at high throttle angle.

Vehicle Speed...must be in motion.

RPM...must be at 6000rpm.

Oil Pressure...VTEC pressure switch must sense sufficient pressure.

One or more of those components/systems is not functioning. Troubleshoot each system one at a time rather than just arbitrarily replacing shit.

As others have stated...

Have only seen these symptoms with MAP problems. 99% of the time the sensor is fine but the connection needs to be cleaned and zip tied.

As cdelena stated, it's not a problem with the sensor itself, it's simply the result of a bad connection. That's why it can be resolved by unplugging it and plugging it back in securely. Some people also clean the connector while they have it off, but I've never needed to do that to resolve my MAP sensor issues.

The sensor and connectors can be cleaned in about 0.2 seconds with a can of electronics cleaner.
