VTEC Cutting out

VTEC Cutting out
Hey guys just wondering if any of you have had problems with your VTEC engagement before?
Here's what happened and all the notable things going on.
Shifting from 3-4th at 9k my revs hit about 6050 rpm as soon as it hits 6200 it feels like my fuel cuts. After about two tenths of a second (and after the revs have dropped to around 3500RPM)
the motor kicks back in and VTEC engages fine.
Here are things that I did to try and fix it.
1. reset ECU, no change
2. changed oil from synthetic 5w 30 to 15w 50, no change
3. checked all connections to VTEC solenoid, no change
4. re and re VTEC solenoid and cleaned filter, filter was clean and no change.
other notables are
-has gotten progressively worse. Only happened shifting from 3-4 but is now
happening any time I shift into VTEC, meaning any time I shift at about 9K and it goes to 6200 in the next gear.
-no check engine light
-no signs of over heating
-happens at all fuel levels.
-not happening on the street, only at the track. (from what I can tell, I can't consistently shift at those RPMS on the street with out getting myself in trouble.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you need more information, search "MAP whack" on this forum. Lotsa details, info on a permanent fix available from Honda, and probably a DIY fix that you can do yourself. Regardless, my previous post has all the information you need just to see if that's your problem.
Unplug the sensor and plug it back in securely.
