Do you have an intake? Intakes make it 100x more clear when it kicks in.

do a valve adjustment and change oil( if you havent already ). even a stock air box you should clearly hear it. having an intake does make it louder.

Funny as I was just talking about this with a friend. I just picked up my AP2 a few weeks ago,and ill share my opinion on it. I was also wondering why i couldn't really hear/feel the cross over. I did some research on the s2ki forums and read that some people say being more aggressive makes the vtec crossover more apparent. It is like this in my car as well. When I have my foot on the gas all the way, (WOT) then I am able to feel it, as oppose to having my foot halfway down the throttle. Hope that helps.

You ladies and gentleman need ears tuned to listen to the s2000! I can hear and feel the cross over in my stock ap1 at 1/2 throttal. I Do have an intake though. K&n intake actually. I can hear it in my brothers si as well

VTEC engagement depends a lot on throttle load - the higher the load, the more dramatic the crossover. At light throttle you could theoretically go all the way up to redline with out engaging VTEC. Search the many s2ki threads on this topic if you like

When my AP2 was stock I was surprised how quiet the cross over was compared to my h22 BB6. An intake and exhaust really makes a huge difference in the cross over noise
