Default Vtec Always Engaged

Hello Guys, i seem to have a problem with my vtec, it appeared out of no where, it is engaged until 5800 rpm and it shuts off, i checked oil pressure it was fine, changed my vtec solenoid, still no difference, Any help would be appreciated Thank You.

Awesome! What shuts off at 5800 RPM? VTEC or the entire engine?

VTEC would be actuated by when the ECU sensor detects the correct amount of oil pressure and electrically flips a switch to move to VTEC. That should happen obviously close to where you are seeing VTEC shut off, essentially the opposite of how it's supposed to operate. Is it possible that the wiring from the solenoid is reversed so in essence when it's supposed to be off the solenoid is keeping it on and then when it senses the right oil pressure it shuts it off? It's pretty easy to check, especially since you just changed the solenoid.
