I will be doing a thorough check tomorrow for pinched, frayed, or loose sensor wires. The car was lowered by the previous owner on fortune auto adjustable coil overs. I have since adjusted them to be slightly lower than stock instead of slammed. The previous owner had factory sized tires on it although they were crappy and brand mismatched. I have replaced them with Nitto NT05s 225/45/17 up front and 255/40/17 rears. It also has the OE AP2 wheels on it as well. But again, the light was on when I bought it so maybe there is a likelihood something was screwed up when the previous owner installed the coil overs and lowered it... hoping to find some more info tomorrow. Thank you!

Tire diameters and revolutions/mile are close enough to not make the ABS/VSA systems think there's something wrong. (I'm running 215/255 "CR" spec on my car.) I recall topics here with lowered cars and wheel sensor problems but didn't pay attention as I have enough trouble getting in and out of my driveway at stock height.

Light on when you bought it indicates it "ain't your fault." But you still need to fix it.

exactly lol. I knew that going into it. when looking at it to purchase, that was a secondary issue. I did a compression test and it was 240s a cross all cylinders. The clutch felt very strong. The top was new. So I felt I could work on the things I didn't like after I created a baseline of maintenance items. I replaced spark plugs, tires, installed a Billman TCT, replaced gaskets, bushings, ball joints, re greasing items, etc. Now I'm on to solving this.. I'll let you know what I find!

Knowing that you went into this fully aware there was a problem makes me feel better -- you'll find a solution.
