VSA & Traction Control & Oil Life
hey guys, I have an 07 with 65,xxx and for the last two or three weeks my VSA & Traction Control Light have been on and can't figure out the problem. I have checked all the wheel speed senors and have rest the computer, but they come back as soon as i start the car. Can anyone help here?
Also I have been having to change my oil more often then normal, I just changed it three weeks ago and have been driving very casual but alot of highway driving. The longest I have gone between oil changes have been about 6000miles, going by the oil life meter. Any help here?
And this is where the oil life sits now.
Don't worry I'm changing the oil tomorrow!
Thanks Rene

Reference from a earlier post that may help solve your issue with vsa and brake light. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=758427
the oil level is just a maintenance reminder, not an actual oil life sensor. I believe its set for every 5,000 miles(don't quote me on this). You would normally reset the timer so you could keep track on mileage for that oil interval.
To reset the oil minder simply insert key in off position, hold trip, turn key to on position(not starting the car), and hold for about 10 seconds until you see it blink, then the cycle will reset automatically.

And I reset the oil life after every oil change, and there is no way I put 5000 miles on my car in three weeks, trust me on that. what else could it be?

the 06+ actually have an oil life sensor. It changes depending on the rpm levels, etc. Maybe its been really cold or something lately and the computer may be cutting the oil life?
Not sure what the deal is with the VSA and traction control.

The VSA light could be alot of things. Mine was on because the sensor in the steering wheel was bad. The oil life indicator is really odd. Are you certain that you reset it, because that is really the only explination I would have?
If the oil looks fine thought I would say that you really don't need to change it, especially if you just changed it. I honestly never use that indicator, I just try to change my oil every 3-4k miles or so.
