HELLO GUYS..

I bought the car from an auction. It was missing some parts, It was a vandalized car. It is an 05. My check engine, brake and VSA lights are all lit.

..THANKS TO ALL.
This would have helped us get to your problem, and it also would have stopped the bashing you got in this thread too.

Just a word to think about.

i really think you should contact the person or dealership you bought the car at...

im assuming your issue can constitute for mileage fraud.

the fact that you bought an 05 s2000 with 7,000 miles when in actuality it has an unknown amount since you do not have the stock cluster.

am i right guys?

sorry i dont want to make your problem more complicated than it is but i think that would be a really big concern for me...

I don;t know for sure, you could be right or wrong. It is the condision of the auction sale that matters here. I would bet it was sold as is, with a rebuilt or salvage title.

jkuamoo thanks for your advice but the car on the title says 999999 because the mileage on the cluster its not actual. I ran a carfax before bidding and the car was service 6 months ago at honda with 35000 miles, thats why I bought it, If I didn't know the mileage I wouldn't had bought the car.

Stratocaster..sorry, what you said is true..

thanks guys

sorry, i didnt know that you bought the car at an auction. well, at least you have some idea of the current mileage.

hope you can track down a 04-05 cluster to get rid of the annoying vsa light.

I wouldn't waste money on a new cluster, just take the bulb out. Also get the check engine code pulled, DO NOT RESET IT. Resetting codes without finding out the problem that caused it usually results in large repair bills. A $100 fix turns into a $2000 fix instead if you get my drift.

He has three lights lit. CEL, Brake and VSA. Remember the cluster has a computer in it as well.

He can buy a new (used) 04-05 cluster, install it and sell the 06 Cluster. My guess is that he can brake even on the deal. So that would be a small price to pay to have it fixed right.
