Default VSA Dead?

No issues till this morning. I'm used to turning the VSA off when I start the car before setting off. Tried to turn it off this morning, and no light! I thought at first maybe the light had gone out(doubt it though)... tested with a little launch, tires spun, no VSA engagement. Seems to be off. Haven't checked the fuse yet, and will do that tonight.

Anyone experienced this. Car is an 07 with just over 63K miles. Haven't had VSA issues before. Everything is stock.

Any idea as to possible cause or what else I can check? I am thinking the module should not have gone out and if it did then wouldn't there be a cel?

All help appreciated.

Anyone know worse case if it's done... can the VSa be removed without any weird side effects to the car?

Your light bulb burnt out, I've already replaced mine once. If you turn the key on and the (!) doesn't light up the bulb is out.

It would Def make things easier if that's all it is. I wonder if always turning the VSA off and having the light on causes it to burn out so soon... I'll check to see if (!) comes on, thank you.

Brake Fluid is perfect. Was flushed few months back.

I checked and didn't get the (!), so i'll assume its the bulb that went out according to Mrfixit experiencing the same thing. No cells or codes yet, car drives perfect. Still don't really feel vsa kicking in at all, but I may do a big clutch drop for a better test.
