NTXS2000 Dyno days in July. I saw a S dyno 183rwhp on a dynajet, all stock.

if you don't believe me, the results were posted on the board for North Texas S2000 clubs.

So I guess that is the lowest anyone has senn as of now?

You have to admit, there is something wrong with that dyno sheet from Vortech; 160ish at the wheels? not.

9000RED,
Thanks for the dyno post...looks pretty good.

Even tuning isn't going to bring that car near 200 lb/ft torque... numbers don't really look much different than the Comptech setup. Impressive but still not a turbo car.

Speedcraft warrants the manifold for life. and the rest of the parts such as Turbo 90 day manfuacture warranty, Wastegate and BOV etc also carry Manufacture's warranty.

Derryck, first of all relax...no need to act like a dick.

In the Road & Track article, THEY said that the supercharger starts adding power at around 3000 RPM, with regular S2000 hp below that (no noticeable gain in hp below that). Also the Paxton supercharger that Comptech uses begins adding hp at 3500rpm (from the printed dyno in Sports Compact Car).

Fanman... or should I say mom, which do you have the most experience behind the wheel turbo or supercharged? I've driven a Comptech car and owned a Speedcraft car... I just get tired of seeing people on these forums that have read some magazine articles and decide that they know what they're talking about. In addition to which call or implying that someone is a dick is hardly the right approach to breeding maturity. I don't know what you've read and where you've read it but a Comptech equipped car is no quicker than stock below VTEC... at least not by any significant degree. Please don't give misinformation to those that are looking for information.

derryck,

why don't you back off with the hype. We all know the turbo kit is nice and in some respect better than the supercharge setup, but this is a public forum and people have the right to post what they feel is the truth even if it disagrees with your. And personally, I could care less if it does or doesn't make power at 3500 RPM, power at or near VTEC and above is what is really important, unless of course you shift at 6000 when racing.

Recognizing that this is slightly off topic -- you're interested in the Vortech supercharger -- you still might be interested in the following thread which contains a Speedcraft turbo (at 6psi on pump gas) dyno plot versus that of a Comptech supercharged S2K. The HP difference in midrange is substantial.

Derryck, I won't call you any names, but realize that a lot of times it not what you say, but how you say things. If you are condesending in your message prepare to have people be somewhat rude back. I thought your first message was not very nice. I understand that you are exasperated with some of people posts. I have driven a Comptech SC S2000. while I did feel much more power at the top end, it is hard to feel the extra power at the low end as the seat of the pants is hardly an accurate gauge of additional acceleration.

The Vortech supercharger is on sale at www.superchargersonline.com for $4300, while the Speedcraft is $6200. Depends on what the person is willing to pay. Personally I probably would save up for the turbo application, but not everybody is willing to pay much more, or the more complex assembly of the turbo application.

Here is the dyno I was talking about. You can see power gain at 3500 rpm, not much but that is where it starts (From Sports Compact Car)
